AAA Ambulance Service and the Southeast Mississippi Air Ambulance District announce plans for EMS Week
Hattiesburg, MS - May 17, 2001 - AAA Ambulance Service and the Southeast Mississippi Air Ambulance District (SEMAAD) have announced plans to join the nationwide celebration of National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, May 20-26, 2001.
National EMS Week is a celebration to honor approximately 750,000 EMS providers nationwide who deliver lifesaving care to our communities.
Wade N. Spruill, Jr., the Chief Executive Officer for AAA Ambulance Service and the Southeast Mississippi Air Ambulance District, says that “This year’s theme – Answering the Call – speaks to the commitment EMS providers make to answering the needs in their communities, and the countless ways they will continue to ensure our health, protection, and physical well-being in the years to come. Our staff and hundreds of our supporters are proud of the daily contributions EMS services make to healthcare. It is our hope that the citizens of Stone County will join us Tuesday, May 22, from 9:00 am until 12:00 noon at the Stone County High School practice field to share in this celebration.
